Case Study : Somerset Entertainment
Background

Somerset Entertainment has a range of CD's listed in Debenhams stores.
The seasonally changed products are displayed on an interactive stand which provides maximum impact at store level.

Objectives
  • To update the stand with new memory cards, POS material and stock to reflect the new product range
  • To record the number of SKU's on shelf and in the stock room
  • To remove discontinued lines for price reduction by store staff.
  • To check that the interactive stand is clean and fully operational on exit of the call
Timescales

Merchandising calls were completed within a 1-week period and results compiled within 1 week of activity completion.

Methodology

The Red Agency briefed a nation-wide team of Merchandisers and Field Supervisors and equipped them with the necessary instructions, tools and equipment to complete the calls.

We introduced an incentive for Merchandisers and store staff, a selection of CD's to those who could influence a positive display enhancement leading to an increase in sales.

Reporting  

The data provided by Merchandisers enabled us to feedback a full report on the stock and display status at all Debenhams stores.

Results
  • The Red Agency completed 100% of the planned schedule.
  • Somerset Entertainment has just awarded The Red Agency in-store demonstration activity following the successful implementation of the merchandising activity
