Case Study : Universal Pictures in Matalan
Background

Universal Pictures has a range of videos and DVD's listed in Matalan stores. The stock is changed on a regular basis to ensure the latest titles are available to consumers.

Objectives
  • To price all mark-down old stock to increase sell-through
  • To update the stand with new film titles
  • To record the number of SKU's on shelf and in the stock room
  • To check that the display stand is clean and fully merchandised to planogram on exit of the call

Timescales

Merchandising calls were completed within a 1-week period and full results compiled within 1 week of activity completion.

Methodology

The Red Agency briefed a nation-wide team of Merchandisers and Field Supervisors and equipped them with the necessary instructions, tools and equipment to complete the calls.

Reporting  

The data provided by Merchandisers enabled us to feedback a full report on the stock and display status at all Matalan stores.


Results
  • The Red Agency completed 100% of the planned schedule.
